Xbox 360 So Hot It Can Be Liquid Cooled by Cool IT Systems

Some of the top gammers who drive their Xbox 360 Machines hard due to their intense level of play have found themselves over heating their systems. The answer for these Top Guns of the virtual world and heroes of their own augmented reality to do? The answer is liquidity; that is to say a liquid cooled Xbox 360 system made by Cool IT Systems.

Thatรขโฌโขs right liquid cooled for those who run their machines full tilt for hours on end with the fastest and most exhilarating games. As long as they have enough brainpower and quick reflexes to go beyond what normal mortals can do, now they have a viable solution. A word of advice for those gammers, you also need to cool your human brain and feed it properly. We recommend high calorie, protein and glucose intake in an environment well ventilated with plenty of oxygen too.

Currently the standard Cool IT Systems Xbox 360 Intercooler with liquid cooling technologies uses the power from the Xbox 360, but in future models it may need to be hooked up to its own power source as the games get more robust and the gammers become even more intuitively aggressive. Xbox 360 is just too hot to handle, too hot to stay on the shelves and way too hot for Sony Play Station to ever catch a clue that they are about to be lapped. CoolIT Systems liquid cooling; install this in 2006!

Board Games Dying a Slow Death

In the eighties and nineties board games like Clue, Sorry, and Monopoly were all the rage. Every home had dozens of board games, some for adults and some for children. Adults would pull out board games when entertaining others and kids would pull out board games when having friends over. Also, you were very likely to see at least a few television commercials for board games everyday.

These days many things have shifted to technology. You rarely see commercials for board games anymore. You rarely hear of new board games coming out. Video games, cell phone games, and computer games have taken over the gaming industry. When you go to stores you still see a good selection of board games for sale but it is easy to see where they are headed. A lot of the manufacturers of those games already produce computer game versions of their classic games.

If you are a big fan of those classic board games you better take the necessary steps to purchase them while you can because they will be extinct in a few years just like 8 tracks, cassette tapes, and VHS tapes. With the popularity of advances in technology once they are gone they wonรขโฌโขt be coming back.

Free Online RPG Games

Role-playing games, or RPGs, are quite popular among those who play computer games. This is because such games allow you to take on different characters and use the capabilities that these characters have as you play the game.

Some of these characters include being warlocks and wizards who have magical powers, military generals that command a large number of forces, and even wealthy tycoons who can purchase anything they want. There is a thrill in taking on these characters and using their powers to achieve a mission or solve a mystery.

The plots of these role-playing games are also as varied as the characters that players play. In these games, military generals are tasked to create empires; tycoons are encouraged to make more money; and wizards are tasked to do accomplish a mission or go on quests. The plots of these games, which started out as the classic battle between good and evil, have now evolved into games that also deal with the gray areas of life and other situations outside the conventional.

Apart from being available in computer games stores, these RPGs have also become available on the Internet. There is also a large number of websites that offer these games for free, and most of these can be played while the user is online. RPGs have also been a good avenue for different players to play with each other using a network. This has enabled players from different countries to play the same game with each other and has added to the popularity of this type of game on the Internet.

Role-playing games have become a popular download among fans of games that let the player take on different roles, be in different time periods, and interact with various people across the globe. The popularity of such games is increasing, as evidenced by the number of players who actually download and play the games. As technology continues to improve, innovations in these types of games can only further fuel its popularity.

How To Bridge Halo 2

Well, I've figured out how to bridge Halo 2. Please, only use it to kick out modders. Don't abuse it. Don't be a poopface.

Well anyways, this is how you bridge Halo 2.

First, connect your router to your PC, which it should be already.

Next, connect your PC to your Xbox. You need to have two ethernet ports in your computer to connect it. Remember to use a crossover cable(a system link cable) to connect the PC to the Xbox.

If you want to force host, you will want to get ZoneAlarm, which is a security program. If you want to force host, you'll probably need Commview, which is a program that monitors your LAN connections(it gives you their IP address). Make sure to turn all of your internet security settings to low on ZoneAlarm and everything else.

To give host to someone, get their IP address from Commview. Go into a party where they(whoever you want to have host)is the only person and get their IP address. Enter it into Zonealarm's trusted section along with Xbox Live's IP address. Then turn the security settings to high and your trusted zone to medium. This will force host to the trusted IP address(the trusted IP address can be your own).

To boot someone, you must have host and go to ZoneAlarm. Get the IP address of whomever you want to boot from Commview and enter it into the Blocked section of Zonealarm.

Continue to start up your Xbox then unplug your ethernet cable to get to the troubleshooter. Copy down your DNS server codes.

Then, go to My Computer> View Network Connections> Highlight both Connections with the shift key(hold shift and click on both items).

Right click and select bridge connections.

Note: make sure to enter your DNS codes when it is asked for in the troubleshooter.

This will bridge the game and will either lag players out or force host.

Remember, only bridge Halo 2 to get rid of modders. If you bridge against me, I will hXc cyber punch you in the face.

Chaos Theory - A Gamer's Review

"Chaos Theory" is one of the sleuth-based video games in the series of video games provide by Tom Clancy's Splinter cell series of video games. The game has been developed and published by Ubisoft. This game is the third in the series of Splinter Cell series and one of the most intriguing video games that has ever hit the market. As usual the hero is Sam Fisher, the lone splinter from the Splinter Cell of the Third Echelon of black-ops branch of NSA in United States.

The arrival of "Chaos Theory"

Though the game was scheduled to be released in early 2004, it could not be so and was finally released as version compatible to Xbox, Play Station 2, and Game cube as late as in March, 2005. At the same time its version for PC also came out. A few versions meant for the Nintendo DS and Nokia N-Gage were also released. Background music and soundtrack of this video game was composed by Amon Tobin who framed it on Ninja Tune record label. For the cinematic effects of the game, composer Jesper Kyd composed the music. For voice, actor Michael Ironside and Don Jordan lent their voice for Sam Fisher and Lambert, the boss of Sam Fisher respectively. The game earned excessive popularity all over the world and as a result was declared as the game of the year in 2005. The video game was applauded all over the world for its outstanding game play and lively graphics. The graphics in this game of Chaos Theory has made several improvements over the traditional system of the video game that includes both normal mapping and HDR lighting.

Get to know more here: Splinter Cell for PC, Xbox and PS2

The process of Stealth

In the game of Chaos theory, the Stealth mechanics have been refined quite a lot. There is the traditional light bar but the addition is an aural monitor to measure the noises exactly what Sam makes during the operation he undertakes. Because in the endeavors Sam undertakes, it is extremely important that the sound is minimal or else he may be tracked down and eliminated himself. Another alteration that has taken place in the game is the AI detection. In the previous version unconscious or dead bodies were automatically detected and an alarm ringed but now in the newer version they are to be specifically detected and an alarm will have to be ringed. An alarm will be a great help for the enemies to spot Sam and they will be ready for the combat. Two peculiar features that have been added lately to this video game are interesting. The first one is that repeated alarms will not automatically terminate the game. Secondly, for killing civilians, Sam may be heavily chastised by his boss and authorities. Consequentially, his mission scores may reduce to a great extent. The "Chaos Theory" is the first of such games that keeps track of the performance of players during the mission and a summarized report is available at the end of it.

Chaos Theory combat and weaponry

Even for the hand to hand combat, Chaos Theory provides a knife to Sam that can be used for threatening to killing. The attacking prowess is from all sides and not only from behind as in the older version. Even while hanging upside down Sam can choke or strangle his enemy. Pulling people over railings, throwing bodies of the cliff or over railing or pull them over. Though the capability of shooting round the corner is removed, the same is balanced by allowing the gun to be on either side of the body. In the field of weaponry, there are three kits to choose from. The first one is the Reddingรขโฌโขs Recommendation kit which provides a fine balance between lethal and non-lethal weapons. The Assault Kit has more ammunition and less non-lethal weapon while the Stealth Kit is just the reverse of the Assault Kit. Then there is the 5.72 mm pistol with OCP which means Optically Channeled Potentiator that can disable electronics for the time being. A green light indicates hitting the target while a red like indicates a miss. The SC-20K modular assault rifle now have multifarious new gadgets like a launcher, under mount shotgun for close range firings and a 20mm sniper scope for long range combat. Non-lethal weaponry is multitude in number and has items like sticky shocker that shocks and numbs all targets. There are also multiple type of grenades and a gas to make the enemy unconscious. On the other hand the enemy prowess has improved too with various new features.

Get to know more here: Splinter Cell Cheats

The Plot

Main focus of the game is on Far-Eastern countries like North and South Korea and Japan. The information warfare of Splinter cell stages a return here. The plot is as intriguing as the game and you can have a feel of the same when you play the game of Chaos Theory.

A Parent's Guide to Online Gaming, Part 1

The internet touches every aspect of your children's lives. Where you might look up an unknown word in a dictionary, your kids are more likely to use dictionary.com. Where you use the telephone, they use instant messenger. An even greater difference can be found in how they play games. Where the games of their parent's generation may have involved a board, cards, or at their most sophisticated a console system, the games your children play on the net can be far more complex. They mine gold, spread empires, fight dragons and aliens alone or with tens, hundreds, even thousands of their fellow gamers. All of this makes for a confusing mish mash of names, places, jargon and lingo that can leave you with no idea what your kids are actually doing and a vague feeling of uneasiness that some part of it might not be good for them.

What's appropriate for your kids is a decision only you can make. How much violence they are exposed to, how much time they spend in front of a screen and how much contact they have with the faceless strangers so common to the net are all questions you must grapple with and, in the end, decide for your family. While we can't help you make these rough decisions, we can certainly help you get the information you need to understand your children's hobbies better, both to make informed judgments about what they should and should not be doing, and to help you reach into another part of their lives that may have previously seemed like something of a puzzle box.

The Easy Stuff

The simplest type of online game is the sort of Flash or Java driven game that you generally see running inside your web browser. This type of game tends to be relatively simple compared to the stand alone games discussed later. Common examples include Bejeweled, Zuma, and Diner Dash. These games are almost universally single player and have none of the sort of violent or mature content that keeps parents up at night. Were they movies, they would be G Rated, with perhaps the occasional game stretching to PG. If this is the type of game your kids are into then first, be relieved. Then, try the game out. Many of these games can be very enjoyable for even the most casual of players. Some, such as Bookworm, even have genuine educational content. These games can be as much an opportunity for bonding and learning as throwing around a baseball in the backyard, and have the added bonus of being much easier to get your kids to sit down with you and play.

FPSs: Finding Something to Shoot.

FPS stands for First Person Shooter. They are First Person in the same since that a story might be. That is, the player sees the world through the eyes of a single character and interacts with the game environment as though he were that character. Shooter comes from the primary goal of most such games, the shooting of whatever happens to be the bad guy. FPS games are among some of the most popular online. Common examples include Doom, Battlefield:1942, and the X-Box game Halo. From a parental perspective, these games can be cause for concern. They vary widely in the amount of realism, degree of violence, language, and general attitude. The only way to get a good idea of the content issues is to watch the particular game. If your kids don't want you watching while they play, then fire up the game yourself sometime when they aren't around. There is a sizeable variation in how violent and how personal FPS content can be from game to game. The single player portion of Halo, for example, has players fighting against alien invaders with largely energy weapons and a minimum of realistic human suffering. In contrast, WWII themed games tend to go out of their way to show realistic violence. Given the subject matter, this is appropriate for the game, but may not be for your kids. Online play presents a potentially greater concern. The goal of online FPS games is almost always killing other players.

While some games do have various modes where this is a secondary goal, all of them give the player a gun and encourage him to use it on characters representing other people. Simulated gore and the use of violence against others to achieve goals may be things you don't want your kids exposed to. Again, these are your decisions to make, but we encourage you to make them with as much information as possible. Talk to your kids. Find out what they think, in their words, is going on in the game. Make sure they see the line between what happens in the game and what happens in the real world, between what it's okay to simulate and what it's okay to do. The answers may surprise you. If your children understand the differences, see real violence as deplorable and simulated violence as part of the game then FPS games, even online ones, can be a perfectly healthy way to have fun and let off steam. In the end, it falls on you to make sure that what your child gets out of the game is good for him or her.

Next time, we'll talk about RTS and MMORPG, the two other common types of commercial online game and touch on the twin demons of addiction and predation.

How To Power Level In World Of Warcraft

How to power level in world of warcraft? Well, Power Leveling รขโฌยฆ this is frequently used in multiplayer games, where its aimed at the player that has more power assisting than the next player who has a much lower power in defeating an enemy. If that enemy is far too powerful for a lower level player, that player is easily killed by the more powerful. Defeating a high level challenger rewards the lower level player with experience points more rapidly than normal. Knowing how to power level in the world of warcraft has become so popular for most players looking to advance through the lower and not very exciting levels of WoW that a number of gaming companies have set up ways to do this.

What you must remember in the know how to power level in world of warcraft is that the whole purpose of POWER LEVELING is to maximize experience in the least amount of time. There are more than 10 ways of how to power level, but itรขโฌโขs up to you to see which one works for you and then rule the rest out. A few WoW guides tell you to do mission after mission while other guides tell you to put your nose to the grindstone and bleed your heart out. Well, combining the two will be the best, so kill an X amount of creatures and collect the items from those creatures you grind. If youรขโฌโขre wanting to know how to power level in world of warcraft, be sure to check the amount of items dropped, and if the drop rate is extremely low donรขโฌโขt do these quests.

The next thing you will have to do is download an addon and install it. This will show you the amount of experience earned per hour. A few people usually shoot about 20-30k per hour from level 30-49. Iรขโฌโขd suggest you do quest after quest until level 20 because doing it this way is extremely simple and fast, and this will show you to how to power level in world of warcraft. If you follow this advice, by just doing quests, you can then feel free to toss in grinding with your missions. Here is a list of a few spots to grind:

level 20-22 humaoids in the mine in at Windshear Crag, Stonetalon Mountains.
level 24-30 in the Furlbolg camps in Ashenvale.
level 28-30 humamoids in Azureload mine.
level 32-35 humanoid farms in the Arathi Highlands.
level 35-36 Murlocks in the northeastern dustwallow marsh.
level 35-39 trolls in the northern Stranglethorn Vale.
level 36-40 Syndicate camps. This is north of Tarren Mill and into the Alterac Mountains.
level 53-54 the undead at Dalson's Tears in Western Plaguelands.

To succeed at how to power level in world of warcraft is to remember that besides the list I have given you, there are many more places than those listed here. The only reason I have not included them is because they havenรขโฌโขt been found yet! I will include a few pointers to keep in mind when finding a place to perform this strategy: Be aware that ranged monsters are tougher to perform this strategy on, but not impossible! Avoid the monsters that are silent, mana burn, fear, and sleep. Target those monsters a few levels lower than your mage for XP yield. These tips will get you started and will help you on how to power level in world of warcraft:

Use Frost nova to root monsters, then AOE them. This will help you to not get damaged so easily. Remember, you can also combo frost nova. Donรขโฌโขt forget this! Use the combo frost nova with cone of cold for massive damage.

Online Card Games

Online card games are those card games that you can play on the Internet, either with a person or with a robot, but usually with another person. Oftentimes many players can play at one time, depending on the game of choice. These online card games can be just for fun, or they can be a gambling endeavor, in which players pay a certain amount to play, and winners earn cash prizes. Online card games in which you can gamble are legal in most places right now, but they might not be that way forever, so get your gaming in while you can. Several websites on the Internet allow solo-player and multi-player card games. Here is a random sampling of some of the online gaming sites.

Net Cards (netcardsgame.com) is a shareware free format program that allows any card game using the standard 52-card pack (with jokers if needed) to be played over the Internet.

Game Zone (zone.com) offers the traditional Bridge, Hearts, Spades, and Euchre games.

Xbox Helps Stroke Victims Regain Control

As the Federal Trade Commission and Senator Hillary Clinton takes the gaming industry to task for violence and sexuality issues Rutgers University Research is using the Xbos to help stroke victims regain control. In fact the hand and brain coordination seems to do the trick very well and folks are regaining control nearly 3 times as fast as normal and in some cases 5 times as fast. Maybe the gaming industry is not as bad as we are told.

Of course this is a customized and slightly modified Xbox, but it is definitely an Xbox they are using. Virtual Reality and video games have been used by medical professionals and the military doctors before to help with such things as Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, so perhaps we should not be surprised by this recent innovation?

What so many people fail to realize is that entertainment, war research, space exploration and medical devices so often lead to revolutionary break thrus to cure the ills that plague mankind. On one hand we allow political posturing to attack technology and the blob of bureaucracy to slow it down and then on the other hand we applaud all its wonderful advances? We as a society and civilization need to get all back on the same page and stop attacking the best mankind can create. Consider all this in 2006.

UAV Swarm Reconfiguration for computer war games

The modern battlespace is changing in the real world and in the very near future swarms of UAVs with be a tactic and weapon of choice. Is your computer game software ahead or behind the curve of inovation. How will these UAV swarms be launched, what speeds with they travel? How will they render the enemy useless? How will you defend against them? This is one thing that is keeping Pentagon war planners up late at night. This is one major issue which will determine the outcome of battles in the future.

I propose launching swarms of UAVs as an offensive weapon in the battlespace to insure overwhelming our enemy with too many targets to kill.

I propose shape shifting wings and fuselages to increase performance and speed once launched.

I propose a fat leading edge wing, which is large for takeoff and once airborne I propose hitting the entire swarm with a microwave beam or laser to heat the skin of the swarms, which will affect the manufactured material memory of those components and cause them to shrink. Thus the swarm can fly a much faster speed on its way to the target.

We can accomplish this by using a cage type configuration as part of the aircraftรขโฌโขs structural makeup. The outer cage secondary skin. This skin will expand into its self when it is heated up. This will allow UAV Swarms to carry large loads and once off the ground the speed can increase to keep them aloft.

Introduction to Online Backgammon

Online play is not much different from table play. Both sides have the same pieces, dice, and game board. To play online a game site must be located. However, that is easy to find. Most sites are free to play on but registration is required. Depending on the site, you can play against a computer or other opponents. To play online, there will be a place to click for the dice roll during your turn. Once the dice are rolled, you can move the pieces you would like, just as you would for a regular backgammon game. And the game is won the same way; get all your pieces off the board before your opponent.

The nice thing about playing online is you donรขโฌโขt have to play. You can just watch and learn if you want. This might be the best thing to do if you are just starting out. But when you do want to play you will be able to join in easily. And most sites have a tracking system so you know how well you are doing compared to other players.

Some sites are played for money. While it can be fun, it can also be dangerous if you are not careful. If you want to go this route, start out slow and only play for modest fees and winnings. Also remember that tournaments are played for money. These can be played against people across the country or globe depending on the hosting site. And with both money playing and tournaments the house takes a cut.

Most sites have you download part of the software before you can play. And many of the software programs only run on Windows based PCs. So unfortunately, MAC users are left out. However, other sites use a Java-script, which MAC users can use. This makes load times and lag lessen for players.

Many of the sites that offer online play are free but registration is required. Some are for members only, with a fee, but a guest can play for free with the member playing also. There are even sites to just play against a computer. This can be good to learn and get better before moving on to live people. And for those with time constraints, there are turn-based sites. Here you can play a few rounds at a time and then come back later to finish the game.

Online backgammon might have more options due to being able to play people everywhere. It is easy to learn and with many sites these days, easier to master. You donรขโฌโขt have to wait for someone to play with you. The Internet has made it easy to play a game that has been enjoyed for over 5000 years.

All of Shawn's backgammon strategy articles can be found at HomeBackgammon.com along with bonus codes, freeroll listings and tournament schedules.

Increasing Rates of Climb in Fighter Aircraft Like the New Joint force Strike Fighter

We know from studying aircraft like the F-8 Crusader, in which my dad had the fortunate to fly while in the US Navy stationed in Puerto Rico, that when the wind was tilted upward on the aircraft that it had a lower takeoff speed and much higher initial rates of climb. At which point the wing came back to position and it was a pencil shaped rocket with wings. Now then let us take the newest discoveries in wind tunnels about life, weight, thrust and drag. We know that the reletive wind pushing on the bottom of the wings forces the aircraft up.

Well then if you have a thruster forced on top of the wing at the center of gravity with the exhaust forced outward, pushing on the aircraft while the aircraft is positioned in a climb. This aircraft will therefore be put in a situation where the it is forced into the relative wind faster and faster and that wind deflected off the bottom of the wing would force the aircraft upward at an incredible rate of climb without significantly using up any more fuel than a standard climb out. The rate of climb will be much faster and the angle of climb very substantial.

I bring this up as we discuss some of the NASA lifting bodies and other designs to fly into orbit or for trans-oceanic flights using the upper atmosphere or space to reduce the friction and increase the speed to hypersonic levels. We are doing similar things on the Strike Fighter, but those nozzels are faced down for vertical landing and take off or extremely controlled and fast STOL. If the wings can hold the increased stress from the bottom of the aircraft against reletive wind. Now then you can try this on a skateboard. Carrry a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood and when going down a hill tilt the plywood to a 45 degree angle and you will leave the ground like a kite. If we have nozzel and directional thrust why not try it at the center of gravity on top of the wing forcing the exhaust outward and back wards at the same angle of incidence to a horizontal plane.

You actually do not even need to test this in a wind tunnel, because we already know this will work. If you look at the chracteristics of the Concorde where the nose faces forward and air is forced under the wings you can see the increased efficient use of the airfoil. The increased leverage from the ram air under the wing is more than the total combined forces of lift from the differences between low and high pressure as the air makes it back to the trailing edge of the wing. Just some thoughts on increasing the flying characteristics of jet aircraft and directional thrust aircraft to maximize all known characteristics of flight.

Call of Duty 2 - Game Review

Infinity Ward has selected to follow the same method for Call of Duty 2 as they did for Call of Duty and focus on doing what it does best, only this time they do it better. In other words, expect to find a whole lot of enemy troops down the sights of your rifle. And they'll be waiting there on the front lines in three campaigns where you will be playing as a soldier in of each of the allied armies as a Russian, British or American trooper.

To really get the full effect you need a top of the line computer system, including a decent sound card and upper end video card. If you have that, what you get is an awesome gaming experience. The excellent sound design brings together the deafening explosions, sounds of gunfire, ricochet echoes as bullets whiz by, and the shouts of your commander as he screams orders directing you and your squad. It really merits 5.1 surround sound and some decent speakers to do it justice.

With all the latest and greatest hardware, Call of Duty 2 is one of the best looking games on the shelf. What makes this game so incredible is the attention to detail, the use of particle effects that blow snow and smoke or clods of dirt from an artillery round's impact, and the distorted vision when one of those goes off close to your position in clouds of smoke. This also brings a strategic element into the game. In the up close fighting, cover was crucial to survival, and when you didn't have it, obscuring the enemy's view with smoke was an excellent option to create your own cover. Throughout the game your squad's success will depend on your laying out smoke to help cover your advancing troops.

With support for up to 32 players in online play, including nine new maps and the excellent HQ mode, Call of Duty 2 should be on your playlist for a good while to come. As for vehicles in online play unlike the (original Call of Duty), there are none and that is really to bad as there was nothing like jumping into a tank and taking out a whole squad of enemy troops.

All in all, Call of Duty 2 is one of the best pc games I have played to date, I only can hope to an expansion pack or a Call of Duty 3 to follow this great game.

The Advantages of Building your own Gaming PC

As has already been established, custom gaming computer systems can offer wonderful performance numbers and sleek styling, but they can often be cost-prohibitive. Furthermore, even non-custom computer systems can represent more than you are looking to spend, and the component quality is not always up to par. For gamers looking to achieve the highest possible performance at the lowest cost, building their own gaming system has become a more viable option, especially when a tower is all that is needed.

One of the key advantages to building your own gaming system is the cost efficiency of it. If you know where to shop for your components, you stand to spend a great deal less money assembling your system than you would for a comparably-powered, pre-made computer gaming system. Furthermore, the statement above is true: creating your own gaming system allows you to closely monitor the quality of individual components. Many computer manufacturers will save money on the manufacturing of their systems by cutting corners in specific hardware areas, from motherboards to onboard audio. By purchasing each component separately, you are afforded the opportunity of comparing the reviews and reputations of each piece and determining which brand or incarnation will be best for your system. It is possible and recommended to create a system using only the highest-quality parts by purchasing each piece separately and assembling the gaming rig yourself.

How do you Go about Building your own Computer?

Once you decide to build your own gaming system, how exactly do you go about it in an efficient and effective manner? The first step seems simple enough, but it is often the one that proves most problematic in the long run: determine what you are looking for from your system right at the outset. Do you want to go for a complete top-of-the-line gaming monster, or would you prefer to keep the setup at a more cost-effective midrange level? Do you plan on running multiple monitors separately, or will a standard display setup suffice? What types of activities do you see yourself doing on your newly-assembled computer system? Is gaming going to be chief among those activities? Once you determine exactly what you want from your new computer system, you can start looking at individual components.

The logical place to start when looking at computer components is the central processing unit, or CPU. The CPU is the heart of your computer system, and every other decision from memory to motherboard will be based on your choice at processor. The most important factor in selecting the proper processor remains the cost-to-performance ratio. As mentioned in an earlier article, AMDรขโฌโขs latest dual-core 64-bit processors represent the pinnacle of technological achievement, at least for the time being. The performance numbers generated by these processors indicate that the gaming experience found through them is unparalleled. However, at the highest end the cost for just the processor is over $1000. Obviously, not everybody is prepared to spend a grand on one particular component regardless of how well it performs. It is still possible to get a very well-performing processor for significantly less money, one that will anchor your new gaming system for years to come. Websites like NewEgg offer some of the best prices in the industry for computer components, and they allow you to compare both price and product reputation before buying.

Once you have determined the type of processor you will use in your gaming system, the next step is to select an adequate motherboard. Again, the key is to determine what it is that you want from your system. Certain motherboard chipsets work better with different types of processors, and it is recommended that you research these things before making your final decision. Moreover, the performance and configuration that you are ultimately looking for will determine your motherboard selection. How much system memory to you plan on running? What type of graphics card and interface are you leaning towards? The current industry standard is PCI Express, so if you plan on running more than one of these cards, your selection of acceptable motherboards narrows considerably. Once you determine exactly which components you plan on using with your system, selecting the right motherboard becomes significantly easier.

You will want to determine fairly early how much system memory, or RAM, you plan on using with your system. This decision will help determine which of several main components you will end up purchasing. If you plan on using your new computer system primarily for gaming, it is recommended that you purchase and run at least 1GB of RAM. The old level of 512MB of RAM simply is no longer acceptable for most heavy gaming applications, especially when the rest of your system utilizes so many resources. For higher-end gaming, or if you plan on running most games at their highest possible graphical level, you will probably want to upgrade to 2GB or RAM. DDR2 is the latest memory standard. DDR stands for dual data rate, and it essentially means that the memory operates at a higher overall speed than traditional SDRAM. DDR SDRAM itself is rated at several different speeds, so check the specifications on your motherboard to see which memory speed it supports.

Once you determine your ideal storage device configuration (DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, hard drives, etc.), one of the last ways that you can directly impact your new gaming systemรขโฌโขs performance is through its graphics card. As stated previously, the current standard in terms of graphics card interface is PCI Express as it allows for the greatest transfer speed between card and motherboard. Furthermore, both of the major graphics chipset manufacturers, nVidia and ATi, now offer support for multiple-card configurations. nVidia calls their particular offering SLI, and ATi refers to theirs as Crossfire. By running multiple graphics cards together, you stand to dramatically increase your gaming systemรขโฌโขs 3D-processing capabilities, greatly boosting the gaming potential of your new computer. In fact, nVidia now offers quad-SLI technology, allowing users to simultaneously run four graphics cards. Obviously, the cost and heat output associated with doing so is quite high, so this option is not for everybody. The debate between nVidia cards and ATi cards is a subject for another discussion; their rivalry is almost as storied as the Intel-AMD rivalry, and there are stalwarts on both sides that will not be swayed. However, determining which video card configuration you plan on using will ultimately decide which motherboard, computer case, and power supply that you end up purchasing. Research, Research, Research!

If you have never before assembled your own computer system, it is recommended that you research the process thoroughly before finalizing any decisions. The components listed above will give you flexibility in terms of your systemรขโฌโขs performance, but there are other important components to consider including storage devices, a computer case, and cooling solutions. This latter is particularly important; todayรขโฌโขs components operate at drastically higher temperatures than their predecessors, so it is important to do so at all costs. The actual assembly of the components is quite easy as they are primarily plug-and-play, but research is again recommended for those who have never done so or who are the least bit uncomfortable with the process. If all else fails, turn to a computer professional to handle the actual assembly of your new gaming system.

How The Gaming Industry Plays A Roll In The Tech World

Any one who plays games on there computer or even on a consol like a play station two, x- box, game cube, can tell you that the games today have a lot of technology put into them. Itรขโฌโขs that technology that going to create more and more business for the computer world.

More and more people are playing games today. Games are one of the top most favorite pass times for people all over the world. The interest in gaming has grown a lot in the past few years, and itรขโฌโขs that interest that is making the gaming industry a top contender in the Technology world.

As more people get caught up in the gaming world. The demand for better games have become a must have. The better the game is the more people want to play it, and if more people want to play it. The better the sales are.

So you can figure just as much as the gaming technology has increased in the world today. The demand for better technology to run the games is on the rise also. This is giving both the gaming world as well as the computer world a great big foot in the supply and demand market.

Itรขโฌโขs really hard to tell which one. The gaming world or the computer world has more of the control in this market. What I do know is that both of them are not going to be going any where soon. As long as there are gamers there will always be a demand for better games. If there is always going to be a demand for better games there will always be a demand for better technology to run the games

Making Money with MMORPGs

The new gold rush is in the virtual hills of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs). A robust market in virtual items and character accounts forms around every popular online game, and people pay real money for in-game goods. This market has turned into a big business over the last few years for entrepreneurs who make substantial incomes and for gamers who bring in extra incomes.

Such virtual goods have been dubbed unreal estate, and similar to real estate, the market provides many ways for people to profit. The possibilities range from a single player unloading an extra game item for some quick cash to a full-time broker who bargain hunts for accounts to sell again at a higher price.

Nearly all MMORPGs operate with in-game currencies that players need to function in the game economies, and these currencies are among the most popular items in the online game market. People pay real money to gain in-game currency so they can buy important game items right away instead of slowly earning the in-game currency through hours of play. Entire businesses on the internet revolve around the currency market. Many of them will cater to a specific game, but there exist larger online stores that cover a lot of the market. For example, www.mysupersales.com online since January 2001 buys and sells currency from many of the popular online games such as EVE Online, EverQuest II, World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot and many others.

The MySuperSales site also provides a big market venue for the buying and selling of game accounts. A game account contains the character or characters that a player has created, and some of these accounts can fetch prices in the hundreds and even thousands of dollars if they are high level and from a game that is in high demand. Much of this value is based on the time spent to get a character to a high level. Many hours of play are needed to raise a characterรขโฌโขs level and people gladly trade their money for this time.

People like to buy such accounts so they can enter a game with a powerful character who has many abilities and wealth instead of working up through the game with a fresh character. Also a gaming guild might be in need of a specific type of character with specific powers and possessions, which creates another reason to shop for a game account.

Online game accounts and items are also auctioned continuously at eBay. Browsing the listings for internet games and accounts on any given day will reveal the extent of the market activity and the array of available goods. Another site that focuses entirely on the online game trade is www.playerauctions.com where people can offer their unreal estate to bidders. An excellent resource for researching this business is the guidebook "Gaming Pays" at www.gamingpays.com that focuses exclusively on the online game market.

Entrepreneurial gamers profit from the various opportunities that sprout from the online game market. Usually they do best by filling a niche in the market so they can focus their game play on, for example, acquiring gold to sell on the World of Warcraft market. Other business gamers specialize in brokering game accounts for specific games or writing and selling gaming guides because there is a big information market as well.

Reading Game Choices

Are you looking for a reading game to help your child who is just learning to read, or who may be struggling with reading? Even children who love to read can also build skills and knowledge with a good reading game. The good news is that there are a wide variety of games on the market today that will help your child with reading skills and knowledge. The only hard part for you is choosing the best reading game for your child. Here are a few tips:

Choose a game that matches your childรขโฌโขs age and skill level. If you get a reading game that is too easy, then your child will be bored and will not build any skills. If you get a game that is too hard, your child will be frustrated and will not build any skills. Each reading game should be rated for age level on the package, but if your child is struggling, you should also look at the content of the game to make sure that the skills on the game are appropriate. For instance, if your child is just learning to recognize letters, you should not get a game that works on comprehension.

Next, choose a reading game that has more than one skill level or type of activity-a game that will "grow" with your child as they get new knowledge and skills. As your child gets better, it can introduce new rules and obstacles that have to be met and overcome. If there is more than one type of activity, there will be a greater level of interest.

A good place to find a reading game is to look on educational sites. If they do not have games on them already, they may have suggestions, ratings and recommendations for games that will build reading skills in your child. A lot of times the games on these sites are even free.

The last point that you should consider when choosing any educational game for your child, is that you should make sure that it is fun. If it is not fun, your child will not want to play it and it will not do them any good. Whether it is a computer game or a board or card game it should be challenging but not too hard and it should have surprises and incentives that are appealing to the age of child that is playing.

Runescape Item Duplicator

If you've ever thought of downloading a "free" runescape item duplicator , think again.

Why? Becuase a runescape item duplicator doesn't exist anymore!

Simple as that.

A long time ago there was such a thing as a runescape item duplicator

I have no idea how it worked at all, but I do know that no such thing exists anymore.

If someone offers to give you for free, or sell you a runescape item duplicator, they are lying.

What they are probably giving you is a piece of software called spyware, it is basically used to steal your username and password and hack your account, so you'll never get any free runescape item duplicator , infact you'll probably just lose everything in your runescape account.

Not only that, but these pieces of software can steal your credit card and other information, it could even be a virus that could take over your computer. So you might end up losing yourself a TON of real life money as well if you're not careful.

I'm sure you wouldn't like that at all, I certainly wouldn't.

Not only that, but if the runescape staff catch you trying to cheat in such a way, they will ban you so fast, you're head will spin.

So if you see a runescape item duplicator being advertised, completely ignore them, they're trying to steal your account.
